WATTLE AND DAUB

Wattle and Daub is an independent children's literature publisher based in Kansas City. The logo is inspired by the construction method of the same name used in old English homes. Wattle and daub construction is made with large timbers and weaved sticks and plaster. As a rudimentary construction method, you would be surprised to hear that wattle and daub structures can survive 1000’s of years; not unlike a good story.

This mark is very reminiscent of the writing process; starting with the “bones” of a story and carefully weaving the details to fill in the space in-between while creating harmony and beauty that will last generations to come.
